Time to get GrOwING

I’m sure I mentioned how rough Winter was for me. But Spring was so amazing 🤩 The contrast between the two is inspiring. There are some lessons to be learned from both experiences. Now that June is here, and I don’t have any immediate travel plans, I’m glad to be able to live in a retrospective and introspective state of mind for a few weeks and see how I can learn from those lessons and experiences.

I’ll not rehash all that happened throughout both seasons. Today is more of a starting point to simply say that I’m excited about how all of this impacts my life. I had looked ahead to June months before and intentionally left it plan-less so I could relax a bit. But relaxing isn’t what I need for an entire month. What I’ve decided I want to do is a lot of thinking…LOL And some doing as I find ways of applying what I’ve learned about God, myself, and life in general, so far this year.

This will be a great time to work on my routine as well. I seem to always be working on that…LOL But these last 6 or so months have been routine-chaotic at best. The moment I “settled” into something that resembled a routine, something interrupted it. There isn’t anything wrong with that, really. It’s just what has been happening for months now. I’m hoping in June to work on some changes that will make a positive impact on what I am able to do for routines.

I’ve said many times that I’d like to work art and writing into my routine…LOL Yeah, that continues to be a hope of mine. And I plan to try working on that this month. I’d also like to work on more software development projects now that I’m using Claude Code to help me build Notesprout. And what I was able to do with my website before that. I have other ideas for apps that I’d love to start working on now that I have a tool that streamlines my process and brings things to reality so much quicker than I can do on my own. I love that I get to do all of the thinking, planning, and deciding while the AI does the grunt work…LOL It frees me up to bring my ideas to life. It’s a tool that quite literally works for me…hehehe

As a matter of fact, it is busy right now working on a new feature of Notesprout while I write in my blog. I came up the the idea for the feature, designed it, planned how I wanted it implemented, and had it help me generate a prompt that would execute my plan. It’s a workflow that works really well for me. AI doesn’t work nearly as well for other things as it does for software development. And I’ll not get into the debate on using it for “art” or “writing.” LOL But it does really well at grunt work…LOL

Later this week and probably throughout the weekend, I’ll start writing about our May vacation 🤩 I’m excited to dig into the vlog footage I recorded. And I am ready to share my thoughts on the entire adventure 🥹 I keep revisiting it in my mind. What once were dreams are now memories ❤️ And I want to capture those memories now that my travels are over…hehehe

I’m looking forward to all of the next adventures. We are already planning our November vacation. And perhaps we can have one in August. If it is too hot, there are plenty of indoor activities we’d love to do. Like museums 🤩 I’m so glad Cherie enjoys those kinds of things…hehehe We have the bird exhibit to see sometime!

Well, in the time I wrote this, I grew a new feature in Notesprout…LOL Earlier, I had pruned an issue that was caused by a new feature I grew last night…hehehe Tonight’s new growth, though, was to add a lasso eraser that allows one to quickly erase strokes or objects on the page by simply drawing a circle around what needs erasing. I’m so glad to be excited about making software again…hehehe The feeling I have about making apps lately hasn’t been in my heart for over 20 years 🥹 I’m doing a lot of GrOwING 🌱
