I started off 2025 with a goal of capturing something of importance through the lens of a camera each day. I achieved that goal and have 365 photos that represent a favorite moment on that day. I’m glad I went on that journey that year. It improved how I was able to reflect on the year as a whole. I didn’t continue this practice after that year. But it did build in my an appreciation for how to be in the moment everyday. Now, I simply capture favorite moments when it feels right.

This is the first photo-a-day of that year. I started off the year thinking about how just 2 year prior, I was barely able to walk around that lake you can see in the photo. The flower, in a way, represents potential. I look at that little bloom and think about where I was 2 years ago before the photo was taken. I was a little sprout on my health journey. 2 years later, I was blooming.
