Travel Day

Today is a travel day on my way to our next adventure. This is our first Spring Fling Dapper Day. I’m beyond excited for this weekend! I haven’t taken the opportunity to talk about it much here, though…hehehe I finally got the new website software running. But I didn’t have much time to write this week. I worked extra hours so that I could have today off without using paid time off.

Right now, I’m waiting at the Las Vegas airport due to delays. I like to work in long layovers between flights in case my first flight is delayed; which did happen today. But the moment I landed, I was notified my second flight would also be delayed. I never really know why these delays happen. People at the airport speculate. But I may never actually know what delayed all of the flights today. Sometimes it’s weather. Sometimes it’s due to air traffic. And sometimes staffing. People speculated it had something to do with the President being here. But I’m not so sure that impacted my specific flights. Regardless, I’m grateful I always get where I’m going no matter how long it takes.

I had lunch while I was here. But with the delay, I also had time to work on my art piece “Joy.” I started it a few days ago. I made significant progress on it today and will likely sign it this weekend. My next piece is “Peace.” I’m so glad I got my art tablets. And equally glad I bring the smaller one on these trips. I never know when inspiration is going to strike…hehehe

I also brought my MacBook. With it, and the new website software, I’m able to work on my website this weekend if I feel so inclined. Like right now during a delay in my flight…LOL

Like all of our vacations so far, this one promises to be full of some firsts for Cherie and I. This is our third vacation in 8 months! I’m so grateful for that! And I’m so grateful we get to experience so many firsts each time. Sharing these experiences with her has been such a Blessing. I know she feels the same. We’ve been talking about this weekend for a while and it is finally here! Plus, we get to do this again next month!!! Yay!!!

I’m traveling today. She’ll be traveling tomorrow. We’ll start our weekend off like all of our vacations…at ARTIC and the hotel. Then we’ll go to Dapper Day Eve. We’ll get to experience sunset at Downtown Disney and the resorts. We are hoping to get photos at our gazebo! We’ll likely see the live band and the dancing. Perhaps we’ll see more people this time? Last time, it was rainy and we didn’t see many at the Eve events…except at the boutique; which is indoors. But the weather looks great for this weekend. We’ll check out the boutique and do some browse shopping too. We have matching black and white striped outfits!

For Sunday, we’ll be doing Dapper Day at the parks. This time, we are doing Dapper Dodgers Duds. We are going represent to Dodgers Nation well…hehehe I can’t wait!!! There is also a new meetup at DCA this time. If we are able, it would be nice to pop over to that one and hear some music! And we’ll likely pop over and see the dappers at the Mark Twain…hehehe It’s so much fun seeing everyone all dapper and dolled up!

On Monday, we’ll start our day at Downtown Disney doing our traditional shopping and churro. But then we’ll head to San Juan Capistrano and enjoy exploring. I am so excited to check out San Juan Capistrano!

I’m so glad to have this new website going. It’s so much easier to pop in and write in moments like this using the new system. With the old system, I wouldn’t have bothered to even bring my MacBook…LOL The new system allows me to write from my phone too. But there are some bugs with that. I could write. But publishing is a little wonky. So I decided to bring my MacBook to make it easier on me to write this weekend. I don’t know that I’ll write every day. But I do plan to write about each day, even if I wait until I get home to talk about the details.
