June

Well, we’re mostly through June now. Has it gone as expected? It sure hasn’t for me…LOL I thought I’d be doing a lot of different things than what I’m doing. And I sort of thought I’d be doing a sort of reset on my New Year’s resolutions. But you know what? This month has still gone better than I expected, actually…hehehe

Part of the reason June has gone differently than expected is the work I’ve been doing on Notesprout. I mentioned that work in my last post. That project has taken up most of my free time this month. And I’m so happy with the progress I’m making on it! As a matter of fact, within a few days of that post, I finally got Notesprout to a level where I can use it for my work notes. I’ll start using it for that next week 🤩

I’m getting a lot of rest this month, though. The Notesprout work isn’t very intense. It is just taking time away from things like my art. But I am working on a piece right now. I made some significant progress on Cherie’s Bambi painting today. I’m doing a hybrid thing with it. It is taking a new way of thinking about art…hehehe I first started working on this new technique with Malachi’s birthday present. But that’s one of the reasons I make most of my art. I love to learn new things while doing each piece. They aren’t just gifts for people and a way to express myself. They are also a way for me to grow.

There are a couple of things I’m bummed about not getting around to, though. I would love to make some progress on my Bible study art collection. That’s a series that I was doing so well with in the beginning. I’m quite a bit behind now. I hope to get back into a rhythm with that soon. And the other thing I’m bummed about is doing new recipes. I haven’t taken on any of them. I was really hoping to get back into that this month. Maybe next month? LOL

Work has been going well for the most part. It hasn’t been stressful. But it has been a bit different lately. I can’t really explain what that means…LOL But it isn’t a bad different. We’ll soon be getting Claude Code at work. That’s one of the reasons I’ve spent so much time working on Notesprout. The original motivation to try Claude in the first place was for this upcoming change at work…hehehe I started by building this website. And then Notesprout. I’ve gained plenty of experience to be able to hit the road running once they turn it on for me at work. I have plenty of things to throw at it with my job…LOL

I’m thinking about starting a few new app projects this weekend. I think I may have mentioned that I have ideas for an art app and Bible study app? I’d like to start those soon. And I have ideas for several other apps for my e-ink experience, specifically. I’ve decided they’ll all fall under the “sprout” concept. So things like Artsprout and Biblesprout or something like that…hehehe

I’m not headed to Indiana for Father’s Day. I don’t remember the last time I was up there for this holiday? Maybe 2022 or 2023? I’ve gone to Walt Disney World most years that I’ve lived here. I’ll not be doing that this year, though. I did look up flights for this weekend. But they were way too expensive. So that idea was quickly dropped…LOL But I also really wanted to avoid travel this month anyway. I just hadn’t thought about Father’s Day when I was planning my month…LOL

I’ll be staying home in July too. With how well I’m doing with my June, I’ve decided it would be a good idea to continue with July. I’d really love to get things going with artwork, writing, and try some things with my routine. June has been good to me. I’d like to tap into that momentum and see where it takes me.

Today’s post feels like a bunch of random thoughts about the month…hehehe I’ve been thinking about it all week. It was actually a rough week. But that’s okay. It didn’t really throw me off like such things used to. And I have been so happy lately. My heart is soooooo happy right now.

Well, not only is June more than half over now, Spring is coming to an end this weekend too. I had a great Spring. I’m hoping for a great Summer too. I have a feeling the hurricane season is going to be light this year. But it sure is hot…LOL I still have a good feeling about the Summer, though. I’m so grateful 🥹
