A Productive Unproductive Day

I wasn’t able to do a timestamp entry today. It was that kind of day. But it was still a good one. I just didn’t take those random moments to write like I would have preferred to today. It all kind of started by me losing track of time last night and not laying down until about 11:45. That meant I didn’t wake until about 6:45. That 15 minute shift from my plan threw me off that much… hehehe But not to worry. I still decided to take a walk this morning… hehehe

After getting ready for the day, I did what I’ve been doing every day this year. I wrote a page worth of a morning journal. That has been one of the most impactful changes I’ve made this year. It started as a goal just for this year. Sort of like my featured photo of the day last year. But unlike those photos, I think I’ll continue my morning journal for the rest of my days. I’ve tried to incorporate an evening session for that as well. That hasn’t stuck yet. But I think it’ll happen before this year ends. And I think a mid-day journal session would also be nice.

On week days like today, I also typically do a Bible study session. I did that after my journal session. I’ve been using Biblesprout for the reading portion of the study. I’ve already integrated the Bible and one commentary. It’s super easy to use and does just the basics for now. I’m not yet using it to write out my notes. But I imagine I’m not far off from being able to do that. What I’d love to do is have it work with Notesprout for the notes part. Since I’m building both, I know I’ll be able to get that to work.

I was able to do a full mile for my walk this morning. The lake was teeming with life today. I captured a minute of various birds. There was also a lot of movement in the water. I didn’t get video of it, but an osprey arrived just as I was ending my walk. It was gliding in and reflected off the lake. Then it swooped down to try to grab a fish. Today was a great day to have a morning walk. Oh! One of the birds was Bob! hehehe I don’t know if it’s really the same Great Blue Heron every time. But I like to think it’s always Bob… hehehe

It was a pretty busy morning at work. Busy all day and week, actually. But I was able to take a moment for our Rex Dance. I felt like a spaz today… LOL That song just did something to me and all of this energy came bursting out of me. I even almost fell during part of it because the floor is so slick in socks. It was a fun song! Cherie was full of energy as well! It’s one of the best parts of our week… hehehe

I wasn’t able to take a lunch break again today. I ate at my desk during a meeting. My whole afternoon was full of meetings. I squeezed in a little break between a few of them. I had to get away from my desk… LOL During the last meeting of the day, my boss called on me to take over the conversation. I felt it in my spirit to be prepared for that. So, I was ready and jumped right in. I didn’t know most of the people in that meeting. I feel I did well leading it. I’m glad I was prepared. I didn’t actually know he would do that… LOL Praise the Lord I listened to the spirit nudge I felt just before the meeting… hehehe

I had tacos for the third time this week. I plan to have them tomorrow night as well. I make them a little different each time. Although, only minor tweaks. It’s as if I’m trying to perfect a recipe or something… LOL I watched another episode of The Bear while I ate. And then I did another Bible study session. Tonight’s passage got me thinking about the “In God We Trust” motto on USA currency… HAHAHA So, I looked it up. That’s been a thing much longer than I thought. It dates back to the Civil War era and not the Cold War, as I’d thought.

I was able to enjoy another evening walk tonight. It’s quite hot these days. But I manage. I’m not out there long. I walk a mile and come inside to the AC and fan. So, I can’t complain. The walks have been worth it. Between the walks and blogging this week, there’s a lot less noise in my mind. I’ve been able to reflect on things and clear stuff out of my mind. I sure have missed both the walks and these blog entries.

I’m really happy with the progress I’m making on all 3 sprout projects. One of my goals is to make them all work together. But we’ll see how that goes… LOL I do question my desire to stick with the “sprout” theme for all of them. But they are all related to my endgame with the group. And I’m considering a photo and video pair of apps to join the others with the same philosophy. So, in a way, having a common name kind of makes sense. I just don’t want it to be confusing. We shall see where I land on this… hehehe Oh! And my website might become a first class citizen in this idea rolling around in my brain. It would be so great to publish things right from these apps.

Well, that’s another day in the life of me. It wasn’t in a timestamp format this time. I suppose that’s okay. I still pretty much talked about the day in order of events… hehehe Thank you for coming along again. See you tomorrow… hehehe
