Hello Weekend
Unlike every other day this week, I’m not handwriting this blog entry. I’m typing it straight into the website this time. No other reason than that I’m running some Claude Code work on Notesprout and Paintsprout at the moment and decided I’d just stay on the laptop while I bounce between that work and this entry…hehehe
I was able to take both a morning and evening walk again today. I’m loving being outside on a regular basis again. I think I’ll keep up with this. The only thing that will interrupt it on days that I’m home would be stormy weather. I don’t mess with that. Although tonight, a storm was on its way when I took my evening walk. But it was far enough away that I knew I could get in a full mile before I was even remotely at risk. About 20-30 minutes after I got back inside is when it arrived. It was a huge one too! As long as I don’t have that going on when I’m available for a walk, I hope to continue doing those at least in the mornings and evenings. Mid-day walks won’t work this time of year.
It was a good week. With the exception of no real productivity yesterday or today, it was a good workweek. Today’s lack of productivity was mostly due to burnout. This week, work was working me…LOL So, I was on fumes today. But since there was only 1 meeting on my agenda today, I was able to make it to Zen for an actual lunch break. I was so grateful to be there today. The food was good and the conversations were nice…hehehe
I was able to finish the Bible study this morning. I’ll still go back over everything in a review session tomorrow. I don’t normally finish Friday morning. It was nice to start using Biblesprout for that this week. I don’t know if I’ll get around to making it fully functional for taking notes on it this weekend. But I’m getting close to that stage. It works well for the reading parts now, though.
My main app focus this weekend will be Notesprout and Paintsprout. With Notesprout, I have some major enhancements that are almost finished that I’d like to land this weekend. And with Paintsprout, I’m still quite a ways from having a usable app. I’d sure love to get that one ready to do some real artwork with it soon. I can already see its potential and I’m chomping at the bit to use it…LOL Notesprout, on the other hand, has been my daily driver for weeks now. I’m taking it to a whole other level with some calendar work. And soon, I’ll have it syncing across devices. The backups already work well. And I can already manually transfer notebooks between devices using my Google Drive. The sync will just make it all more automatic and seamless.
Something else I’d like to work on this weekend is my blog entries from our May vacation. This week, I’ve finally found my blogging vibe again. I’m finally ready to write up my thoughts on that amazing vacation. I’ll handwrite those entries and convert them to text for publishing here. I already have the first vlog edited and uploaded. It’s been waiting patiently for me to get back to writing…LOL
I’m really excited about sharing in Cherie’s cooking class experience at work next week. I’ll not be actually in the class or doing things exactly like she’ll be doing them. But I’ll make a very similar dish and enjoy it that day. I’m sure I’ll be making enough to have leftovers for a few meals, actually…hehehe But the point is to share in the experience with her as Trex and Trexina. One of the many adventures the Rex’s have together…hehehe
Hello weekend! It’s nice to see you again 🤩
