Vacation Memories, Security Alert, Zen

It has now been a year since our first vacation together. Our vacations have been the best I have ever had. I got to thinking about why that is. I feel it’s because, when you are with the right person, shared experiences become a piece of who you are. Sure, everything you experience is part of who you are. But I’m more thinking about how this helps us be the best parts of us. Or at least it brings the best to the surface. And that helps us get through the worst struggles and experiences we must face in this life. This life isn’t always easy. But I’m grateful for everything I experience with my best friend. Our vacations have revealed some of the most amazing parts of who we are. The memories are something I cherish every day and it helps us get through the rough times.

This week’s Bible study has me in the deep feels and thoughts about my “family.” I haven’t had the experience of God’s design for family in the traditional sense. So, I’m seeking how to apply this lesson for the way things actually are in my life. And although my mind and heart have taken a look at what I don’t have or have lost over the years, I am also able to see what I do have. My heart is full of gratitude for the blessings God has given me through the people in my life. I love my “family”; which includes my closest friends and their loved ones.

I was able to enjoy Zen yesterday at the time I prefer…Yay!!! I pondered with Cherie what I might eat this week. She responded that I need noodles, fried rice, and orange chicken in my life…LOL So, that’s exactly what I ordered…LOL I ate shrimp lo mein while I was there. Then I ordered the rest to-go. I had the orange chicken for lunch and pork fried rice for dinner today. It was a fun way to experience Zen this week…hehehe

I finally started using Claude Code for actual code work at my job today. I’m quite impressed with how well it understands the project I’m using it with. This project will eventually be replaced by something else that I’ll use Claude Code to build. So, I’m glad it understands the existing code as well as it does. But for now, I’m using it to work on a change that needs to go in soon.

While I was working on that today, I was contacted by IT security. Apparently something I was doing triggered an alert. The timing suggested it might have been my Claude Code session. With this being new for us, I immediately jumped to that conclusion. However, it was just coincidental timing. It was an email attachment I was working with at the time that triggered the alert. The file was actually okay. There ended up being no concerns at all. It was just a false positive report…LOL The security person was relieved…hehehe I wasn’t phased by it at all, myself. I thought it was my Claude Code session…LOL Even though it wasn’t, I still knew it was something I was doing and not some cyber attack..hehehe

This has been a good week for the most part. But I’m sooo glad the weekend has arrived. I’m probably just going to stay home, with just one grocery trip. It has been too hot to enjoy being outside. I haven’t even been walking this week…LOL I do want to do a Disney day soon, though. I’m considering taking a day off from work so I can go mid-week. There’s a new AP magnet to acquire, a pin a friend asked me to pick up for them, and I want to “take” Cherie to Animal Kingdom…hehehe

I’m experimenting with my sleep schedule again. I may have mentioned that, or I journaled about it…LOL I’m staying up later and sleeping a little later. But I’m getting one less hour of sleep each night. I feel like I’m back to getting more into each day. It has only been a few days so far. It’s reminding me of how much I loved this schedule when this was my normal awhile back. I’ve missed this and hope I can continue like this for the foreseeable future.
