Stress, Productivity, Family, and a 5 Hour Limit
Morning
The morning went well. I had that meeting I told you about yesterday. It happened to be with someone who stresses me out. I actually didn’t expect them to stress me today. Yeah, I was wrong! They aren’t the type to hear the stress in my voice, I don’t think. But I know the stress was there in my voice…LOL God got me through it and I believe I was able to get everything I needed from the meeting. To de-stress myself, I simply washed my dishes from this morning’s coffee and toast…hehehe I’ll be able to move forward with the project this afternoon.
Today’s Humpty Dumpty Day Tale was a fun one to write. He had a lovely tale today that included his love, Eggatha Sunnyside…hehehe His mishaps are always hilarious. But I love it when he has one of his pleasant adventures too. We started making these on June 4th last year. Considering that we’ve made one every week since, we now have 63 tales told! That blows my mind! When I wrote that first one, I had no idea it would become a weekly tradition. I’m so glad that it did! A lot of folks see Wednesday as Hump Day just to get through the rest of the work week. As for Cherie and I, we get a front row seat to the adventures of our oblong hero…LOL
The rest of my work morning was productive. With the exception of Monday, my mornings are going well this week. I’m not typically productive in the mornings. But even with the meetings I had this morning, I have gotten quite a bit done so far today. I hope to continue being productive this afternoon. I have a few meetings scheduled at the end of the workday. I should get plenty finished before then, though.
By the way, I’m handwriting this and will convert it to text this evening. I did that with today’s Humpty Dumpty Day Tale as well. I’ve handwritten those for a while now. But today’s was converted here in Notesprout and synced up for a quick copy/paste to send to Cherie! hehehe
Afternoon
The rest of the workday was as productive as I hoped it would be. I tested a system that I’ll have to interface with soon. And I continued research on that project from yesterday and this morning. The afternoon meetings were okay too.
I made a tofu brown rice dinner with an orange sauce. It turned out pretty good. It has been a while since I’ve made anything like that. Last week, I stuck to a pescatarian diet. But over the weekend, I had some chicken. I think I prefer the pescatarian overall. But it isn’t a diet I can easily maintain. So many good meals are better with meat…LOL
Speaking of meat, I got a knock on my door this afternoon from my neighbor. She had gotten buy one get one popcorn chicken again…LOL She wanted me to have the free one…hehehe She is so sweet. I’m blessed and grateful to have her for a neighbor. I’m thrilled she’s doing so well. I hope to be as spunky at 91 as she is…hehehe
Here in a bit, I’ll do another Bible study session and will probably do more work on Notesprout. I’ll also have a call with Mom and Dad. It should be a pretty chill evening. I would love to do some creative work. But I’m not feeling it again tonight. I’m so grateful for Humpty Dumpty Day. It allows me to still exercise that part of my brain each week. I need that…
Evening
I hit my 5 hour limit with Claude Code right in the middle of a final phase code-review for the spelling and grammer tooling I’m working on…LOL I’ll have to finish that in the morning. My 5 hour window doesn’t reset for about 3 more hours..LOL I forgot to tell Claude Code to throttle itself. So, it spun up a few background agents to speed up the process. That burned through the token credits way too quickly. Oh well…I’ve learned for next time…LOL I’ll pay more attention to that in the future.
The reason I missed that was because I fired it off while I was on the phone with Mom and Dad…hehehe I was also able to get a hold of Malachi tonight. It was great to talk to all three today. I talked with Malachi first and was happy to hear that he’s having a good week. Mom and Dad are doing well too.
This week’s Bible study is on marriage and family. So, it felt extra special to talk with my son and parents this week. The study has me thinking and meditating on all my relationships right now. Not being married anymore gives me a perspective to apply this lesson in a different way than it is probably intended. And I live alone without a household family.
Ted Lasso is back with season 4. It’s a little different than before. It seems they are going to work with the struggles of being a woman in a man’s world. I’m looking forward to how they take on some of the issues. With football (soccer) being the theme of the show, they are using a women’s football team to address this. I hope they handle it well. Considering who all is involved with the show, I imagine they will do a banger of a good job. Did I use that phrase correctly?! LOL
I shouldn’t have any trouble getting to Zen tomorrow. Work has been unusual on Thursdays of late and I don’t always get to go to Zen right when I prefer. I’ve been able to get there most weeks. But not on Thursday (my prefered day) or at 11:30 (my prefered time). But I think it’s actually going to work out this week for both Thursday and 11:30 since I don’t have any meetings or pressing work to get done before lunch tomorrow. I wonder what I’ll have this week…hmmm
